J-Hud Duets with Jennifer Hudson of Old

Newly-slim Jennifer Hudson shows off her dramatic weight loss by belting a duet with her larger self in her latest Weight Watchers commercial.

The singer, a spokeswoman for the brand, has lost 80 pounds in recent months and appears side-by-side, thanks to special effects, with footage of herself back in 2004 singing Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me” on “American Idol.”

In the commercial, which first aired during the season finale of X Factor, Jennifer takes the stage in a body-hugging mauve dress and a sophisticated hairstyle -- both of which illustrate how far she has come in both taste and fitness compared to the J.Hud of old. The ill-fitting hot pink number and mass of crimped curls do nothing for the far less chic visage the new Hudson joins onstage

Would Mama Evelyn Really Slap the Piss Out of Tamar? Seriously? Yes!

In the season 2 premiere of “Braxton Family Values,” Mama Evelyn famously informed Tamar that should she EVER think to disrespect her again, she would “slap the piss” out of Tamar. This sent shockwaves through the dot com community and many wonder is Mama Evelyn just bark and no bite.

Would Mama Evelyn ever really follow through on such a threat, or was it all for the cameras?

Although Tamar is the youngest siter, she is also grown.

Damzel Speak: Take it from me, another grown woman. I have quick reflexes because my mother has shown me action speaks louder than words. If you want to miss the backhand, move quickly. I know my mother is always my mother first and a friend after. Til the day she leaves this world, my mother has a license to chastise if need be. I believe most black moms feel this way and deservedly so. So, I believe Mama Evelyn and so did Tamar. Take a listen.

In the audio below, EURweb’s Lee Bailey asks Tamar if her mother was just bluffing.

Eddie Murphy and Spike Lee Bring Washington DC Mayor Marion Barry to the Big Screen

Eddie Murphy and Spike Lee have teamed up to bring forth the yet untitled Marion Barry biopic. Eddie is slated to star in the movie about the beloved and disgraced former Washington D.C. mayor and directed by Spike Lee.

Marion Barry spent six months in prison and was famously re-elected two years later as mayor after being being busted for smoking crack in a local hotel with an ex-girlfriend and informant on camera. He was famously known for the phrase "Bitch set me up!"

Eddie Murphy who is not known for dramatic roles scored an Oscar nomination for his dramatic role in “Dreamgirls.” This would be the first time Black film veterans, Spike Lee and Eddie Murphy would work together.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Charles Barlkley & Weight Watchers

Starting Christmas Day, you’ll be seeing a lot more....actually less of ex- NBA great Charles Barkley.

Barkley is the newest spokesperson for Weight Watchers, and commercials featuring the always outspoken former pro athlete’s weight loss will be on full display on your TV during the holidays.

It's no secret that Barkley packed on 100 pounds to his 6’ ft. 6” frame, ballooning to 350 pounds. His colleagues often made fun of his 'extras' during NBA commentary, but now he's got the last laugh.

Barkley said he got his ‘wake up call’ when he paid a trip to the doctor.

“The doctor said, ‘Hey, dude, if you don’t lost some weight, you’re either going to get diabetes, have a stroke or drop dead. It’s either A, B, or C,” Barkley told USA Today.

Weight Watchers approached him, and Barkley has signed on for the organization’s newest campaign entitled “Lose Like a Man.”

The campaign is targeted to the male population to urge them to get into a healthy eating lifestyle, according to People magazine.

“I felt bloated and big,” says Barkley, who said he lost 14 pounds on his own, then shed another 27 pounds with the help of Weight Watchers.

Barkley said he had to weed out junk foods like pizza and cookies, and now swears by yogurt and oatmeal. He’s also been eating cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and asparagus and enjoying them for the first time in his life. Barkley said that before vegetables, he admitted ‘I thought vegetables were all nasty.”

Barkley, who has been a popular on-air basketball commentator and formerly played with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns and the Philadelphia 76ers, said he has noticed the change in his body.

“Now I have more energy!” Barkley confessed.
