Tune into VH1 TONIGHT at 8PM ET/PT when the network's hit series "Love & Hip Hop NY" returns with all-new episodes.
Much of the heat this season is generated by a crazy love triangle involving rapper-turned-manager Peter Gunz. He's been living with Tara Wallace, his gorgeous girlfriend of 13 years and mother of his two boys, but has recently started a new relationship with his client, beautiful songstress Amina Buddafly. Now Gunz has to figure out a way to keep these two angry women apart - and it won't be easy.
Joining the New York cast this season is Atlanta favorite K.Michelle, who has released her chart-topping debut album and is relocating to the Big Apple to take the music scene by storm. Will K leave her wild ways behind, or will she rip through New York like she did Atlanta?
After welcoming a new baby with fiancé Mendeecees Harris at the end of last season, talent entrepreneur Yandy Smith is focusing on keeping her head held high as she juggles being a career woman and a single mom while waiting to hear Mendeecees' fate as he awaits his trial. Meanwhile, singer/model Erica Mena is more determined than ever to find success in love and career with or without former manager/lover Rich Dollaz, while Tahiry Jose and Joe Budden find that getting back together isn't always easy, even when you both want the same things. Erica Jean and rapper Saigon round out the cast, and though the two share a son, Erica finds herself wanting more out of the relationship with the father of her child.

|Lauryn Hill - Inmate #64600-050|
Lauryn Hill was released from prison today after a 3-month sentence for tax evasion. Her attorney says she was released a few days early due to good behavior. However, the songstress/raptress be confined to her home for three months as part of a 1-year probation period.
Also known as L. Boogie, the ex-Fugees member was released early Friday morning from the minimum security Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. She had been locked up since July 8 after failing to pay taxes on more than $1.8 million in income she earned between 2005 and 2007.
Leading up to her incarceration, L. Boogie cited historical racism as one of the bigger reasons for her tax woes. On a brighter note, she recently inked a deal with Sony and a new record is reportedly in the works.
In addition to her release, she's also marking the occasion with a new single called "Consumerism."
Stream "Consumerism" below:
The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete starring Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Anthony Mackie is a coming-of-age tale about two inner-city boys who are blindsided when the authorities come for their drug-addicted mothers, leaving them both to fend for themselves on the tough streets of New York City.
The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete will hit theaters Oct. 11.
The latest collaboration between Ugandan rap star Navio and RnB legend Keith Sweat brings to the forefront an amazing love song that marries hip hop and RnB in a tribute to the old school but never leaving out the new. On and On is a song that represents a real test of styles. It emerges as one of those love mid tempos that any listener would love to head bop to in the whip while patiently waiting for that evening traffic to melt down.
After sweating it with Keith in his private Atlanta home studio, the Navcorp rap star holds nothing back. The combo is magic once they added hip-hop producer Major 7 and the result is so telling.
On and On is a soothing stance away from the hard-core hip hop joints Navio has come to be affiliated with. It’s a real testament of Navio’s ability to sway the female listener.
Watch out for this latest display of an artist that views himself as a player on the international scene. Navio is definitely doing his part in putting Uganda on the map of the globe.
