MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL, the musical celebration of the life and music of Sylvester (born Sylvester James, Jr.; September 6, 1947 - December 16, 1988), the original 1970s "Queen of Disco," proudly continues to keep the musical icon's legacy alive as it tours the country following its smash Off-Broadway premiere last September.

Anthony Wayne and Kendrell Bowman, creators and producers of MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL, along with acclaimed stage and screen actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, who serves as the show's co-producer with her DIVA Foundation, are thrilled that Sylvester's classic "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)"will be featured on the Season 2 Premiere of Fox's "Empire" airing Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at 9pm EST.

Lee Daniels attended MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL during its Off-Broadway run last September at The Theatre at St. Clements with "Empire" star Naomi Campbell.

"It was thrilling for us to meet Lee and Naomi at the show last September.  Their enthusiasm and support of the show was beyond words. Lee told us he was so touched by Sylvester's story and we areso excited that he'll be featuring the classic "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" on Empire, as we strive to keep the legacy of this great artist -- and pioneer in the LGBTQ community -- alive. Disco Heat is spreading!," said MIGHTY REAL star, Anthony Wayne.

MIGHTY REAL is currently on tour with the next scheduled stop being a return engagement at The Brava Theater in San Francisco beginning February 17th, 2016.

Produced by AnthonyKen LLC and Sheryl Lee Ralph/The DIVA Foundation, MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL is written by and stars Anthony Wayne (Pippin, Anything Goes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and is co-directed by Mr. Wayne and Kendrell Bowman, who also serves as the show's costume designer.  Wayne and Bowman were inspired to create the musical after seeing the "Unsung" documentary about the artist on TV One in 2010.  Moved by his story - by Sylvester's bravery to openly be who he was in an era in which that was not supported or encouraged by society - Mr. Wayne sought out his music.  Hooked, he discussed Sylvester's music and influence with Mr. Bowman and they both put their talents together with determination to bring the icon's story to the stage.
